According to the VisitBritain PR staff, "A telephone booth near Cardigan, Wales has been transformed into a gallery space celebrating a local photographer. Tom Mathias captured all aspects of life in west Wales which included quarries, farming, slate-workers, and quilters. A local telephone company sponsored a contest to find creative uses for defunct telephone booths and Mathias’ village came out on top."
